In case you haven’t heard I got married last week on 23rd October! It was a fantastic day that couldn’t have gone any better, but we couldn’t have done it without the help of our fabulous suppliers. Good suppliers really are the secret to a perfect wedding day, taking all the responsibility out of your hands and doing an amazing job so you don’t have to! For the uninitiated, NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month. This happens every November, and challenges its participants to hit a 50,000 word target WITHIN that month. I completed it once, many moons ago when I had no job and thus a lot of free time on my hands. I’m just dropping by to share my thoughts about how much I find maths creeping into my writing.
Now if you’re anything like me, you absolutely did not gel with maths of any kind at school and while you might have revised your heart out and got the grades, it was always words that were your passion. Same girl same.
I remember quipping while I was at Uni that I used my calculator more during my English degree than I ever did in school, and while it may have been an exaggeration, I do find myself calculating quite a lot.
The story goes that BrightonSEO founder Kelvin Newman and a few other SEOs had the idea to give those who work in SEO and the industry in general a change to meet up, share ideas and talk shop. Me and my partner don’t always get a lot of time for trips out during term time (he’s a teacher!) so when the holidays come around we like to go out for a day and sometimes a night away somewhere different – budget allowing.
